Masa
Vaishakha Masa Meaning
Vaishakha is the 2nd month of the Hindu lunar calendar, usually falling in April-May during Vasanta (spring). Important observances include Akshaya Tritiya, Mohini Ekadashi and Buddha Purnima. In the amanta system the month ends on Amavasya; in the purnimanta system used in much of North India it ends on Purnima, so Krishna Paksha dates carry the next month's name.
