Masa
Jyeshtha Masa Meaning
Jyeshtha is the 3rd month of the Hindu lunar calendar, usually falling in May-June during Grishma (summer). Important observances include Ganga Dussehra, Nirjala Ekadashi and Vat Purnima. In the amanta system the month ends on Amavasya; in the purnimanta system used in much of North India it ends on Purnima, so Krishna Paksha dates carry the next month's name.
