Masa

Phalguna Masa Meaning

Phalguna is the 12th month of the Hindu lunar calendar, usually falling in February-March during Shishira (winter). Important observances include Holi and Amalaki Ekadashi. In the amanta system the month ends on Amavasya; in the purnimanta system used in much of North India it ends on Purnima, so Krishna Paksha dates carry the next month's name.
